From 1999 to 2008 I’ve been working as a Photo Editor & Photo Researcher in the Sales Department of Grazia Neri PhotoAgency (Milan). These 9 years have been for me a huge learning experience on all fronts; the variety of magazines and photographers I’ve been working with, from News and Documentary Photography to Fine Art, from Stock Photography to Fashion, taught me the differences in editing, presenting and pitching for different markets; at the same time, dealing both with photographers and clients at once has been priceless in teaching me how to keep a realistic balance between dreams and market needs and how to present a photographic work at its best, artistically but also commercially.
Between 2010 and 2013 I worked as a Photo Editor, Production Manager and Web Creative Director for Emblema Photoagency (Milan), where I’ve been hired to relaunch the agency on the international market; scouting new emerging talents and managing a roster of many photographers, being responsible for all aspects of production and for the presentation of the work to the public has been a fantastic adventure that rewarded me beyond expectations, with many Productions published on some of the best international Magazines and our Photographers awarded in important international contests.
In 2013 I started my solo-Photography Consultancy business which is where I am today. I'm also a Photographer myself, which I like to think helps me being a better editor (this, in the good days. In the bad ones, the reverse is true - being an editor sorta gets in the way, if you know what I mean...!).
The work I do today is something for which I feel extremely lucky; it’s a way for me to bring together my experience and passion, to get to know extraordinary people, and to keep learning, every single day.
